Nashville, Tenn. (April 18, 2017) — GRAMMY® winner Chris Tomlin's first annual Good Friday Nashville event made history this past weekend with nearly 15,000 in attendance making it the largest ticketed Christian concert in Bridgestone Arena history. Held Friday, April 14, joining Tomlin were Big Daddy Weave, Zach Williams, best-selling author Max Lucado and surprise special guests Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum singing her No. 1 hit "Thy Will," as well as Matt Maher and Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. Good Friday Nashville is set to return with Bridgestone already on hold for the next seven years. Tomlin donated the net proceeds from Good Friday Nashville to Tennessee Kids Belong (TKB), the state chapter of national non-profit, America’s Kids Belong. Committed to uniting government, faith, business, non-profit and creative communities around the foster care system, TKB gives children in foster care a face and a voice through high quality videography and helps recruit and build support for foster families across the state. TKB is a key partner in the TNFosters Campaign, which Governor Bill Haslam, First Lady Crissy Haslam, and the Department of Children’s Services launched on December 5, 2016. TNFosters is a statewide campaign that draws upon the AKB model of linking government, faith, non-profit, business and creative communities around a state’s foster care system. TNFosters campaign’s goals are to increase recruitment of foster and foster-to-adopt families, as well as involvement of churches statewide in this issue. "Good Friday Nashville was a night I will never forget," said Tomlin. "It's so powerful to see the church together in unity and know that the cross of Jesus is our common ground. What an honor to shine a light on Tennessee Kids Belong and make a lasting, real impact in the lives of children in need of forever families in Tennessee.... it just doesn't get better than that!" Good Friday Nashville fell in the midst of Tomlin's Worship Night In America Tour, featuring Big Daddy Weave, Phil Wickham, Zach Williams, Mosaic MSC and Jason Barton. With 23 stops this spring, the tour has already sold out in numerous markets including San Antonio, Tulsa, Omaha, Kansas City, Milwaukee and more. About Chris Tomlin
