LOS ANGELES (March 16th, 2017)— Three time GRAMMY® Award nominee and this year’s Dove Award winner reached no. 1 on the National Christian Airplay chart this week with his current radio single, “All My Hope” featuring emerging Christian artist Tauren Wells, making it Crowder’s highest-selling single from the “American Prodigal” record and his biggest song since “Come As You Are” (2014). With the music_video for “All My Hope” crossing a remarkable 8 million views in a short few months, the soulful gospel track has proven to resonate with a broken and divided America, pointing humanity back to the true place of hope. “I cannot believe it. This song has gone far beyond what I could do on my own,” said Crowder, from the middle of his 26-city American Prodigal Tour 3.0. “It’s rare that you get to carry a song like this, and it’s been a special thing.” About how the chart-topping single came to be, the singer/ songwriter explains, “I got invited to one of these things called a ‘prodigal party,’ with family and friends of a man who had been in prison for 27 years, during which he found salvation in Jesus. And that day, we were celebrating his physical freedom.” Adding, “Amazing to be in a moment like that— to applaud his physical freedom and that his soul had found the freedom that we’re all looking for. That’s the hope this song is singing about. There is not a single person that can’t understand what it feels like to be bound to something. I got to see this physical manifestation of what that looks like to find freedom. That’s what I want for my interior. And that’s what this song is about — all my hope is in Jesus.” A special live version of "All My Hope" is also available on the new Passion record.
