NASHVILLE, TN. (June 22) Centricity Music artist PEABOD is offering a serving of musical veggies, with the release of his debut album Healthy Snacks. Produced, recorded, and engineered by the artist himself, the unique hip-hop album is available now on all digital outlets. Among its twelve tracks, Healthy Snacks features PEABOD’s first digital single “Shoot From The Hip,” which has quickly garnered almost 200,000 views for its music video,” plus a collaboration with pop CCM star Hollyn on the song “Ok.” Through quick and clever rhymes, the 24-year-old Seattle native puts an innovative spin on rap, daring the genre to be fun. Whether offering catchy commentary on growing up as a millenial or on coping with a bad day, PEABOD gives listeners a taste of nostalgia straight from the heart. The result is more than pop hooks: it’s ministry. “Healthy Snacks is all about entering into joy because it’s good for your soul, just like healthy snacks are good for your body,” PEABOD describes. “At a surface level, I just wanted to have as much fun making music as I could. On a deeper level, the joy throughout the album comes from knowing Jesus and understanding the Gospel. My hope is that people listening to the album would have a ton of fun with these songs and that they would also embrace the joy that comes with knowing Jesus.” PEABOD will be performing at various festivals and concerts this summer, including Lifefest in July.
