NASHVILLE, Tenn. April 12, 2019 —The Gray Havens celebrate the end of their successful Storehouse Tour with a Nashville show and the digital release of Far Kingdom (reimagined). Far Kingdom, originally released on The Gray Havens Fire & Stone album in 2015, continues to drive tremendous fan engagement at live shows. Feeling like the song had not reached its full potential, the Havens' David Radford began to dream and reimagine Far Kingdom. A collaboration with producer Ben Shive moved the song from its original acoustic feel to the epic production that listeners have experienced with the last two album releases from The Gray Havens. Artist Garden Entertainment's Keith Stancil shares “Far Kingdom was released before streaming became a significant platform for The Gray Havens. At the time, radio and live shows were the primary vehicles for music discovery. David & Licia were playing acoustic shows for smaller audiences and radio promotion was cost prohibitive. The song is such an incredible song and begs to be heard with full production and served up to a larger audience.” Stancil continues “Far Kingdom, a song anticipating heaven, has a worship element that we hope churches will consider for worship settings.” The Gray Havens are scheduled to perform at the National Worship Leader Conference in May where they will share the song with worship leaders across country. UPCOMING TOUR DATES
Far Kingdom (reimagined) is now available on Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, Pandora and all other digital outlets.
The Gray Havens are finishing their successful Storehouse Tour, which included four sold out shows and audiences doubling in size of previous tours, with a Nashville show at Trevecca University. The duo will be doing theater shows with Josh Garrels in June and announcing fall tour dates soon.
Known for their unique blend of narrative-pop, The Gray Havens continue to expand their reach into multiple genres with thought provoking lyrical poetry. The duo has performed alongside such artists as The Oh Hellos, Ben Rector, John Marc McMillan, Andrew Peterson, Drew Holcomb among others.
