July 2, 2019: In an imperfect world where people come and go from our lives, God’s promise to “never leave us” is unique. Seeking grace and not perfection, Nashville-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Shaylee Simeone is learning what it truly means to trust His promises. Relatable while rooted in solid Biblical theology, Simeone’s journey is marked by the willingness to say “yes” to His calling, despite fear, doubt and natural reservations that come with being human. Through her single debut of “Dearly Loved” on July 26th, 2019, she is taking the first step. “Writing this song was an extremely emotional process for all of us. It morphed into a lullaby for those (aka me) who wrestle with the fear of abandonment. You have a Father who will never leave you, and it’s safe to stand on that promise.” Written during her worship residency at Fellowship Bible Church in Nashville, TN, Shaylee wrote “Dearly Loved” alongside producer Luke Brown (CREDITS) and Ethan Hulse (CREDITS); the track features live drums from Chris Brush (CREDITS) and was mastered by Jason Germaine of [COMPANY/CHURCH]. A declaration of God’s faithfulness, “Dearly Loved” is harnessing attention from record labels and management companies alike. Among musical influences including Brooke Fraser, Steffany Gretzinger and Taya Smith, Simeone credits encouragement from her church family, as well as her personal journey to healing as a source of inspiration for her music. To date, Simeone has had music ranked “Top 10” on iTunes, placed in the top 5 of an international songwriting competition and has had songs placed on the Women of Substance Podcast, Women of Worship Spotify playlist and through publishing/sync deals to include MTV placements. Simeone feels inspired to release pop-inspired music that is inherently congregational; as a human herself, she is determined to write music she describes as “singable for a normal group of humans.” A true believer in the Lord’s promises as well as the healing power of therapy, Shaylee actively leads worship at her church in Nashville, TN. Listen to Shaylee’s new single, “Dearly Loved,” to join her in the realization that God isn’t going anywhere.
