“This is something I’ve wanted to do for the last 15 years, and quarantine finally gave me the time to make it happen,” said Profitt. “I wanted to make a Christmas album that sounds like an epic movie soundtrack, with 808s and a gospel choir and all these incredible singers, and it turned out to be the hardest and most exciting thing I’ve ever worked on.”

Earlier this summer, the Nashville by-way-of Michigan musician made his debut as a solo recording artist with the release of his single, "Faking Love (ft. Jung Youth & NAWAS)." Highlighting his elaborately detailed, yet undeniably epic take on pop, the darkly-charged track reflects on refusing to live inauthentically for the sake of preserving a failing relationship—a moody tension brilliantly magnified by the merging of its chilling piano tones, high-drama strings, and massively heavy beats.
