NEW YORK CITY – Dec. 11, 2020 – Fellowship for Performing Arts – producers of C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters and The Great Divorce – launches Fireside Fellowship, a series of family Christmas events online beginning Dec. 20 featuring FPA Artistic Director and award-winning actor Max McLean, Broadway stars, Christian singers and more.
The events include songs and worship, a theatrical presentation, scriptures of the season and more. Each presentation is 30 minutes or less and is free with registration.
Joining McLean are J. Mark McVey, star of Les Miserables on Broadway, West End and on tour; up-and-coming contemporary Christian duo Finding Faith, featuring Human Nature’s Andrew Tierney; singer/songwriters Melanie Penn and Amy Shreve; and many more.
“With our ability to get together with friends and family restricted this year, Fireside Fellowship creates a virtual gathering for the whole family,” McLean said. “Recent virtual presentations of our stage works have drawn over 125,000 viewers. We know there is a hunger out there for content from a Christian worldview that engages and entertains.”
Fireside Fellowship includes three presentations and a bonus event. A new event releases each day Dec. 20, 21, 22 and 23, with all events available after release until Jan. 2.
Presentations include:
The Grand Miracle – Releasing Dec. 20
A special Lessons and Carols event with McLean – the voice of The Listener’s Bible – reading scriptures of the season and Melanie Penn, a singer/songwriter creating works at the intersection of faith and culture.
The Gift of the Magi – Releasing Dec. 21
A theatrical presentation with stars of FPA’s Paradise Lost – Marina Shay and Robbie Simpson. Plus a bonus from Shadowlands Director Christa Scott-Reed and family!
