New York, NY (February 1, 2021) - The undeniable magnetism of a family that has helped shape the popular scene in Latin America is reflected in "Amén," a song written, produced, and performed by all its members. For the first time the entire Montaner family, Ricardo Montaner, Evaluna Montaner, Mau and Ricky, and Camilo have come together to release a song of hope and unity. Each a popular artist in their own right, the family blended their respective musical styles and combined various elements throughout the song in composition, lyrics, and intention. Amén was produced by Richi López and Ricardo Montaner, one of the most recognized singer-songwriters in the entire Spanish-speaking world.

 

Speaking to the sound of the track made by López and the combination of their voices Camilo explains, "our love and mutual admiration are reflected in this song.” The chorus for this emblematic musical theme was proposed one morning during a family breakfast. “The word Amén is a universal term that means the same in all languages, a word that unites everything. When you believe with certainty in something you say 'Amén',” explains Montaner.

 

“Amén” was written long before the global pandemic, but, in the words of Mau Montaner, “the release came at the perfect time. Amén carries a message of hope at the same time that it reflects deep anguish, a feeling that many live under normal circumstances, and even more during this season of isolation and uncertainty.”

The video was filmed under the direction of Marlene Montaner, making the visual production a family affair as well. Done in a single take, the video carries a simple and sober aesthetic with incomparable visual force, in which each artist radiates light and transmits their intention through their interpretation.
