For Immediate Release (Bon Aqua, TN) — According to the 2020 Music Industry Report, independent music venues in Nashville lost $22.6 million and 73.5% of their jobs. Nashville has the highest concentration of music industry workers in the United States, and their livelihoods have been decimated by the pandemic. But a long-running music festival that boasts more than 75,000 attendees each year for the past 20 years may be the catalyst to bring music back to Music City. Life Promotions, host of a popular annual Christian music festival called Lifest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, will hold its first annual event at Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee on July 29-31, 2021. Headline acts are still being added but already include Newsboys, Skillet, Matthew West, Danny Gokey, Lecrae, Sidewalk Prophets, and many others. This family-friendly event will mark Hideaway Farm’s first music festival and will benefit Dignity Revolution, a movement supporting mental health and wellness which educates youth to overcome bullying and stand up for the value of every person. “We are very excited to host this experience in middle Tennessee,” said Bob Lenz, Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Life Promotions. “Lifest is a party with a purpose. The music is just a vehicle to bring inspiration and hope to people from all walks of life.” Lifest Music City is also offering independent, unknown artists a chance to be paid performers through the festival's Artist Ambassador program. Lifest Director John Dougherty says this is a unique opportunity to showcase new talent. “Any artist or band can be part of our Artist Ambassador Program,” says Dougherty. “We hope this will give up-and-coming artists a place to showcase their talent and gain an immediate fan base. Lifest has been held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin since 1999 and is a highly anticipated event for thousands of families throughout the Midwest every year. We are thrilled to expand its reach to the Nashville area.” Camping will be available for the duration of the festival, as well as food vendors, marketplace shops, and activities for children. From now until March 31, tickets for the 3-day event are on sale for just $60 for adults, $30 for ages 8 to 15. For ticket information visit https://lifest.com/music-city. Life Promotions is a nonprofit organization focused on instilling hope in today’s youth. Founder and Chief Visionary Officer, Bob Lenz, is featured each year as a keynote speaker at Lifest, and speaks year-round in public schools, conferences, community outreaches, and other events.
