Austin, TX (May 14, 2021) - - Flourish Music announces the release of their second single, “Crown Him,” written by Matthew Bridges, Godfrey Thring, Tyler Daniel, Jonathan Hunt, Spencer Roth, Josh Reynolds and Michael Guillot; with Guillot also producing it. This new release follows the recent release of their debut single, “For My Good,” and precedes their next single, “Majestic,” releasing on June 18.

Flourish Music is a collective of like-minded worship leaders and songwriters who are equipping the local church with meaningful and creative Gospel-centered songs. The unique artists making up Flourish Music gather collectively to write and produce music that is meant to be sung by the local church, and also stands out in the modern worship music genre.

Flourish exists because this world is starved for beauty and often drowning in isolation. They love to come alongside artists and encourage them to create beauty through their art. They also desire to see artists collaborate together and use their art as a blessing for others. Communities are better when artists thrive; and artists are better when they create in community. Flourish wants to see both of these things happen.

Worship leader Tyler Daniel, one of the co-writers and recorded vocalist, said, “This new single is an anthem we can sing together as the church to celebrate that Jesus is Lord of all. It’s an upbeat and fun song, but also contains weighty truth to help remind us of who God is and what He’s done.”

“Crown Him” is a re-arrangement of the Hymn, “Crown Him With Many Crowns,” written in 1851. Though the original lyrics are over 170 years old, it is still an anthem that rings true for modern day worshipers expressing the desire to make Jesus their King and Lord. This arrangement of “Crown Him” was written with the local church in mind as an accessible and creative song for worshipers to “Crown Him Lord of All.”

Co-writer and worship leader, Jonathan Hunt, said, “‘Crown Him’ is one of my favorite songs that we’ve been working on at Flourish Music because it unites the old with the new. This song has withstood the test of time and contains deep and meaningful truth that the church today needs to be singing. Through creative and modern musical elements, and adding a simple chorus, ‘Crown Him’ will fit perfectly on any church’s set list and will be a song that the entire church can connect with.”
