
Canadian recording artist Carolyn Arends is releasing PSALM 5 to streaming platforms, the first single from her IN THE MORNING acoustic worship EP. The vintage praise tune gets a fresh, prayerful treatment, featuring a duet vocal from fellow artist Steve Bell and a plaintive violin solo from Spencer Capier.
Alongside the single, Arends is also releasing a meditative black and white video, her fifth collaboration with filmmaker THE ARCTIC.
Asked about the timing of this particular release, Carolyn notes that the mood of the psalmist seems to reflect much of what is heavy on the hearts of God’s people in this season. “With the start of Lent - not to mention the situation in the Ukraine and global unrest,” Arends observes, “it seems like a prayer that might be helpful for many.”
