Mansfield, TX — 11th May 2022- Kenneth Appiah and The Yzmen are a diverse group of inspirational musicians that have an incredible stage presence and an even more soul-wrenching consortium of music. This band’s jazz and afro-beat influence on music help relay the divine message in a catchy and thought-provoking way.

Youssou N’dour and Fela Kuti are two of the musical influences on Kenneth’s work; both Youssou’s incredible stage presence and unique exhilarating vocal ability coupled with the greatness of the Senegalese band that brings his music to life have helped inspire the band to produce their mix of ethnically tinted yet universally relevant music. More so, Fela, the king of the original afrobeat like Youssou commanding control of the band and jazzy flair has helped the musician produce vibrant horns and a great rhythm section.

“Golgotha”, “A.B.C” and “Mommissa” remain some of the most popular music that is produced all of which chronicle some aspect of Christian faith with artistic prowess and efficiency. “Mommissa” is perhaps one of the most moving songs produced by the band that talks of the power of belief in God and the ability to ask for anything without fear from the Almighty. The specialty of this relationship is particularly important in helping renew the audiences’ zeal for a relationship with God.

Their newest album ‘Kairos’ is to be released in later May this year which is set to help listeners feel good with the rhythmic grooves of African music coupled with the jazz influenced progressions, and vibrant afro/jazz exhilarating horns lines. The love and faith in Christ is most vividly present in this music.

ABOUT

From the country of Ghana in West Africa comes Kenneth Appiah, who is no stranger to the world of Reggae and World music. After living for a few years in the United States, this eccentric artist reached out to a group of professional musicians to form a band that came to be known as The Yzmen.

Kenneth Appiah and The Yzmen are the first of the kind in the Gospel arena and have been compared to the likes of Fela Kuti, Youssou N’dour, Bob Marley, and Lucky Dube, with their dense percussion, melodic guitars, vibrant horns, and captivating Afrocentric vocals. It is these two artists that form heavily influence the music that is produced as well.

Their primary goal is to win souls for God’s Kingdom, using music as bait to draw as many as possible to salvation in Jesus Christ alone. Kenneth Appiah and The Yzmen have set out to redeem the beats, rhythms, and diverse musical styles of West Africa for Jesus Christ. With authentic sounds and an authentic spirit and the will to strive to fulfill the Great Commission while educating and entertaining the work about West-African culture, Kenneth Appiah and The Yzmen are all set to dominate with their music.
