Congratulations to Maverick City Music on their BET Awards nomination. They have been nominated for the Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel/Inspiration Award for “Jireh.” This announcement comes after the release of their new single “Kingdom,” a collaboration with Kirk Franklin. The song was met with high praise and the video went No.1 on the iTunes All Genre Video Chart for more than 10 consecutive days. 

Maverick City Music’s joint album with Kirk Franklin, ‘Kingdom Book 1,’ is set to be released on June 17th and their newest single “Bless Me” will be out on Friday, June 3rd. The group is also set to perform as part of NPR Tiny Desk’s Black Music Month – one of the first NPR Tiny Desks back in the NPR office in D.C. .
