
HOUSTON, TX (Wednesday, January 26, 2023) - - Chart-topping gospel recording artist Marcus Jordan is currently celebrating several career-first milestones. His current gospel radio hit “Call On The Name” landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Indicator chart last year and after 38 weeks the song is reaching the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart (No. 3 this week) and the Mediabase Gospel Radio chart (No. 2 this week), which has maintained its appearance on the tally for 41 consecutive weeks. On Hot Gospel Songs, the Rodrick “Bubba” Dowling produced song spends four weeks on the chart peaking at No. 17. At the end of the 2022 year, it earned a No. 32 position on Billboard's 2022 Year-End Gospel Airplay Songs chart.
Released on June 21, 2021, “Call On The Name” is the second single and title track from his 9-track sophomore album CALL ON THE NAME, which appeared at No. 3 on iTunes Top 200 Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart upon its debut. On the heels of reaching the hearts of many with its soul-stirring vocals, catchy melody, and constant reminder of the healing, deliverance, and soul-saving power that is in the name of Jesus, Marcus Jordan is set to deliver new music with his new and forthcoming 6-track EP MY LIFE (Marcus Jordan Music Group), which is available for streaming and digital download on all music platforms on Friday, February 3, 2023.
The EP’s first radio single is the title track “My Life” featuring Terrance James. The song is written by Terrance and Marcus Jordan and produced by Zane Gipson. As the sole songwriter on the EP and production contributions on the track “Finally (The Wedding Song” the singer/songwriter, record label executive, pastor, and philanthropist enlists Samuel Fisher to produce five out of six songs, which are “Trusting In God,” a reprise of the song featuring Kenisha Malone, “Champion,” and “Lord I’m Standing” featuring Natasha Bates.
