Portland, OR - “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” [Romans 12:2]
When there is a contrast or opposition between two things, rarely do you find room for common ground. Whether it conflicting ideas being expressed by parallelism of words, or be it individuals that are direct opposites of one another. For followers of Christ, it is the relationship between believers and the world. The term for this occurrence is “antithesis”.
‘The Antithesis’ is Oracle’s second studio album.
Oregon emcee Oracle has a brand new, 13-song album to share with fans of CHH. It marks his second studio release, an audible display of lyricism and versatility. Oracle’s unique vocal tones stand out against the boom-bap backdrop of the project. The Antithesis is an incredible combination of modern story-telling with classic presentation. Throughout the sonic journey, a strong foundation of faith is always present.
“The Antithesis is a concept that I have had for a while now,” explains Oracle. “Due to various circumstances and situations, I had not been able to put it out yet. However, God’s timing is best.”
Painted with production contributions from multiple talented composers, the wait for The Antithesis has been more than worth it in the end. Not only does Oracle collaborate with several producers on the album, he also features impressive guest artists as well. Features include Prodigal, G-Natural, and Alyssa McCann. The album also includes the single “Divergent” which has been supported by several media outlets, including FiveTwentyCollective.com.
If you are among the hip-hop fans that have missed the days when artists prioritized complete listening experiences as opposed to single releases, The Antithesis by Oracle is your opportunity to hold on to an era attempting to pass us by.
