30 June 2023 - Nashville, TN - GRAMMY®-nominated songwriter Chris Davenport drops his debut album, TIME, today, courtesy of Capitol CMG. Listen HERE. The 13-track album features anthemic songs such as project opener "Thunder In The Desert," the early-released "The King," as well as its first single, “Plead the Blood," which he recorded with Cody Carnes and Brandon Lake. At press time, the song has more than 2M total global streams, is Top 20 on Air1’s radio chart and climbing, and the video has received more than 634K views on YouTube. Celebrating the album release, the video for "Thunder In The Desert," is live now here.
Chris Davenport, who has been a quiet yet influential voice and songwriter in the worship realm for years, has co-written many of the genre's biggest songs, such as Brandon Lake's "Too Good To Not Believe," Cody Carnes' "Be Glad," and Phil Wickham's "Hymn Of Heaven," which was nominated for a 65th Annual GRAMMY Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. Davenport is also a writer on Hillsong Worship and UNITED songs “Another In The Fire,” “Grace To Grace,” and “Seasons.” Earlier this week, Davenport was surprised with the news that "Another In The Fire" was awarded RIAA® Gold certification. This is Davenport's first song to receive RIAA Gold certification. Get to know the man behind these songs with this video as well as the heart behind his debut album here.
