January, 2024 — Resuscitation Records is preparing to issue The Beginning of Sorrows, a split 12” album featuring TAKE and The Forerunner. Both bands are from Las Vegas and uniquely blend metal with hardcore to create sounds full of irresistible riffs and massive amounts of energy.
TAKE has been making waves in the music scene for 20 years. Their live shows are nothing short of phenomenal, consistently leaving audiences in awe. What sets TAKE apart is the sheer diversity of their music and an ability to create a sound that is uniquely their own. Each TAKE song on this split 12” was previously unreleased on vinyl and has been remastered specifically for this record.
The Forerunner has garnered a fervent following for their unique fusion of faith-driven lyrics and heavy, electrifying melodies. Committed to expressing their profound love for Jesus Christ through their powerful compositions, the band has become renowned for their unapologetic proclamation of faith, weaving spiritual messages seamlessly into their thunderous soundscapes. For this record, the band contributed five tracks in their signature “hardcore hymn” style, including two songs which previously have never been released.
The Beginning of Sorrows split 12” features TAKE on Side A and The Forerunner on Side B. The ten song record is receiving the deluxe vinyl treatment with a 180g pressing and a 12 page lyric booklet full of photos.
The first pressing consists of 200 units. The official release date has been set for March 15, 2024. Pre-orders are available now at www.resuscitation.store.
