Florida - Hip hop has commanded the attention and shaped the culture in America for the past 50 years. Despite the glitz and glamour associated with the rap lifestyle, the unavoidable truth is that, at its core, it is genre characterized by predatory tendencies with little to no concern for those who pledge their allegiance to the cause. Even so, there are those convicted to flip the narrative for the greater good and inspire individuals who need to be lifted up.
“Weapons grade wordplay sets the stage for a new era in hip hop.” -R.kitect
Weapons Free is a record that is bringing the fight to the ones who have perverted the genre with a mission to return it to its foundational intent.
R.kitect and Datin (God Over Money, Menace Movement) flex their lyrical muscle with a continuous barrage of bars with no need for a hook to bring the record’s meaning to life. Weapons Free connects with fans of the gritty, boom bap sound while combining it with intricate wordplay and schemes. There is no room for second-guessing as the emcee duo speaks with boldness on the topics that plague the current landscape.
Weapons Free delivers a refreshing sound within the underground space of CHH. The record brings a truthful, no punches pulled approach to taboo topics that too often are swept under the rug.
If you are eager to see a change happen in hip hop, be sure to check out Weapons Free and add it to your favorite playlist now!
