Denver, CO - “And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless living, but be filled by the Spirit: speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of Christ.” [Ephesians 5:18-21]

There is power in the name of Christ. As we are called together to lift each other up and support one another, we are also to lift up the name of Jesus so that all may see and acknowledge His glory. Working side by side as adopted sons of the Father, it is the way that we interact that will speak to those without faith and help them to see the hope that is found in Christ.

“This collaborative project was a long time in the making. We wanted to come together to put something together that we were proud of and glorified God.” - Procyse

Following the release of the singles “All of Us” and “Power,” Illustrate and Procyse deliver their joint project, In The Name, on May 17, 2024.

The Colorado emcees have generated quite a buzz in the underground Christian rap scene with their modern take on the boom bap sound. With several years combined in the game, Illustrate and Procyse have rode the ebb and flow of a music industry that is fickle at best. Their experience has helped to perfect their approach to the craft of rapping as their mastery of the art is evident with each verse they drop.

In addition to the forementioned singles, In The Name includes standout tracks “Mask Off,” “Taking Us Home,” “It Hits Different,” and “Holding On.” “All My Life” and “Complicated Life” round out the rest of the project that flows seamlessly from start to finish.

In The Name was produced by F-Plus and Elan Brio and features lyrical powerhouses in the form of Zae Da Blacksmith, Ill Lawgic, and Nest86. For listeners that have been clamoring for a return to the roots of hip hop, look no further than this project to reinvigorate your passion for the genre.

Make sure to add your favorite records from In The Name to your personal playlists and share with the hip hop heads in your sphere of influence.
