Releasing on July 26, 2024, Pixelated Virtues Online is a new EP from Michigan hip-hop artist Dex the Nerd Who Loves Jesus.

The new 5-song EP features production Praise and Arlo Blue and guest artists Cutright, R.kitect, and Cade Jerome. Dex continues down the road he began following in early 2024 as he leans into his love of nerd culture and Jesus. The result is a sound that is unmatched in the world of Christian hip-hop.

Pixelated Virtues Online includes the hit single “Yes Lord,” released in April of 2024. The animated lyric video for “Say Goodbye” is available on Dex’s YouTube on the day of the EP’s release. You can view the video here.

In addition to releasing new music, Dex is also excited to share the first mini-comic of Pixelated Virtues, featuring the EP as a soundtrack to accompany the story.

Comic Synopsis

After meeting with his guardian angel, Dex, your average 16-year-old boy from Detroit, is swept away to a new world that mirrors all the video games he has played his whole life.

The Ancient Serpent, that sinister snake, has snatched away Dex’s sister, Diana. Determined to save his sister, this teenage boy faces trials and tribulations of epic proportions. Dex must hone his skills and strengthen his faith.

Led by the Holy Spirit, and empowered by the armor of God, Dex must rise to be a hero like the days of old. Can he overcome the challenges of this video game world, where reality and fantasy intertwine? Allying himself with new and old friends and with the Sword of the Spirit, God’s very word, in his hands, Dex will face the Ancient Serpent and save his sister! He must!

He will do it all by the power of the Great Light.
