"Burning" is the debut single from post-hardcore solo project Swingline. Referred to as "the band that never was" by lead singer Tim Mann, the song is a poignant introduction to a creative force that could have and should have been so much more than it was. Long thought lost when the project's label went out of business in the mid-1990s, this is just the first taste of what we missed out on.

Swingline came into existence when Focused frontman Tim Mann felt the urge to dive into more melodic territory than traditional hardcore would allow. What transpired was a natural progression from "The Hope That Lies Within" into territory that was being paved by groups like Quicksand, Stavesacre, Helmet, and Orange 9MM in the mid to late 1990s. "Burning" is the perfect example of what to expect from the upcoming self-titled EP coming soon from The Charon Collective.
