His talent blossomed, leading him to record and travel with the group Damascus. However, responding to the guiding of the Holy Spirit, Cedric embarked on a solo career marked by milestones.

The year 2015 saw the release of the critically acclaimed album Transparency, a testament to Cedric’s unwavering commitment to clearly share his journey of faith. Hits such as My Praise Belongs To You, They That Wait, and a soulful rendition of the classic Agnus Dei (Holy) resonated deeply with audiences, affirming the divine connection within his music.

Cedric Ballard has shared the stage with many of gospel’s greatest legends and some R&B royalty such as Albertina Walker, Kirk Franklin, The Clark Sisters, Beyoncé Knowles, Kurt Carr, V. Michael McKay, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin and many more. His performance at President Obama’s Chicago church was matched with praise to God and a rousing ovation for the gift.
