NASHVILLE, TN. (OCTOBER 31, 2024) BEC Recordings' Tasha Layton will release a new holiday EP on November 15th featuring the brand new song and title track "Wake Up It's Christmas." The EP will also feature four additional songs including her song "Diddly Squat" which has made its way onto thousands of playlists. Pre-save the EP here.
Layton's holiday catalog is a classic big-band, jazz, and pop collection that comes back year after year. Her holiday music has more than 15 million holiday streams and is featured on Spotify's playlists such as Christmas Jazz, Women of Christmas, Merry & Bright, Feel Good Christmas, and Christmas Spirit.
Last week Layton joined the Grand Ole Opry in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month as the Opry went Pink. She performed her No. 1 single "Worship Through It" on the legendary stage. ABOUT TASHA LAYTON: Since first captivating radio audiences in 2020, Tasha Layton has become one of Christian music’s most celebrated female vocalists. Her full-length debut, How Far, featured the hit single and No. 1 radio song and title cut "How Far," along with the No. 1 smash “Look What You’ve Done,” and her breakthrough hit, “Into The Sea (It’s Gonna Be OK).” In 2023 her song "Never" also charted in the top Christian songs for the year. Her 2024 song, "Worship Through It (feat. Chris Brown)" earned her another No.1 radio single, her third in her career. Her holiday albums, This Is Christmas and the GMA Dove Award-nominated album This Is Christmas (Live From Fisher Center) have also become season classics. Before her solo career, she appeared on Season 9 of American Idol and spent four years as a backup vocalist for pop superstar Katy Perry. Layton is also a published author with her guided prayer journal, Boundless: Moving Freedom From Your Head To Your Heart, and Look What You've Done, and the children's book A Big and Boundless Love. She and her husband Keith, share two children, Levi and Lyla, and reside in Springhill, Tenn., right outside of Nashville.
