What if one moment made you believe you’d gone too far to be forgiven? For Matt Sassano, that question became the foundation for his latest single, “Not Unreachable”. With four number-one singles under his belt, including “Not My Name” and “Dear God”, the rising voice in faith-driven rock continues to turn pain into purpose. “Not Unreachable” represents the next chapter in his journey and will be available February 7th, 2025.
The reflective ballad captures the battle between self-sabotage and redemption. Its haunting lyrics—“Go on and throw me a lifeline, I’ll be sure to cut it and watch myself drown”—are as raw as the moment that inspired them. Produced by Josiah Prince of Disciple, the song’s orchestral tones and emotional depth will resonate with fans of Linkin Park’s “Heavy” and Skillet’s “Would It Matter”.
“The song was inspired by a moment when I said something I deeply regret,” Matt shares. “During a heated argument, my frustration boiled over, and I lashed out at God. The words were deliberate, filled with anger, and it felt like I’d burned a spiritual bridge I could never rebuild. That moment left me with a regret so heavy, it felt like there was no way back.”
What followed was years of crippling anxiety. “I felt trapped, but I’m learning to move forward,” Matt explains.
The song’s lyrics—“Show me that I’m not unreachable”—reflect Matt’s ongoing fight to reclaim hope and mental clarity. It’s a message that resonates with his community, The Defiant—a group united by their refusal to let struggles define them.
“This isn’t just my story,” Matt says. ““Not Unreachable” is for anyone who feels like they’ve made mistakes that are hard to unravel. Whether it’s self-doubt, broken relationships, or spiritual questions, the song captures the fight to find hope and rebuild your life—a journey I share with my people.”
Raw and resonant, “Not Unreachable” is both a confession and a rallying cry for anyone searching for a way back to hope and clarity. The single drops February 7th, 2025, on all major streaming platforms.
