This remastered edition will be available for pre-order starting January 17, 2025, exclusively on GirderMusic.com, with an official release date of April 18, 2025. Featuring a stunning Zombie Virus Green color that perfectly captures the raw energy and experimental edge of this groundbreaking record. Limited to just 300 units worldwide.
Originally released in 1997, Some Kind of Zombie marked a bold shift for Audio Adrenaline, blending alternative rock with their signature faith-driven lyrics. Recorded at Ardent Recordings in Memphis and Shakin’ Studios in Franklin, the album was produced by the legendary John Hampton and mixed by Skidd Mills.
This album saw the debut of guitarist Tyler Burkum and officially welcomed drummer Ben Cissell into the band. Fans will also remember the explosive collaboration on “Blitz”, featuring guest vocals from Matt Morginsky of Christian ska pioneers The O.C. Supertones.
The remastered vinyl edition breathes new life into this unforgettable album, delivering stunning audio clarity and an exclusive collector’s experience.
As a special pre-order incentive, each vinyl purchase will include a limited-edition album flat featuring alternate artwork, available only while supplies last.
Praised by critics for its bold sound and timeless themes, Some Kind of Zombie remains a cornerstone of Audio Adrenaline’s legacy. AllMusic hailed the album as “tougher, catchier, and sharper,” while Jesus Freak Hideout called it “a fantastic record and a must-listen.” From favorites like “Chevette” and “God-Shaped Hole” to the energy of “Blitz”, the album continues to strike a chord with fans both old and new.
Girder Records is dedicated to delivering high-quality reissues of classic Christian rock albums, pairing exceptional audio remastering with collector-focused packaging.
