NASHVILLE, TENN. (FEBRUARY 25, 2025)—Provident Entertainment's Grammy-nominated songwriter, artist, and producer David Leonard has released his new album, Just Jesus. The project features 12 tracks, including the singles "God of This Place," "All Because of You," "I Believe It (The Life of Jesus)," "Keep the Light On," "Good Man," "By His Wounds," and the title track. "God has always been and will always be the same. When I look back on my life, I see that He’s always been there," explains David Leonard about the album's inspiration. "Whether I’m in a season of wholeness or a season of desperation, that will never change. He’s calling us to look back and be reminded. The Lord has done great things, and we get to witness His work in our lives, to bask in the glory of what God has done. Everything else but His voice is just noise. We need Him to silence the noise in our lives. At the heart of everything, He wants a relationship with His kids."

This album was recorded in a secluded cabin in the woods, where Leonard envisioned creating a studio on location to capture the project in its most organic form. He gathered with close friends to create the sonic experience in a collaborative environment, recording the majority of the album together in the living room, bathroom, and even the closets of the cabin. The project was later refined and polished at Leonard’s Franklin studio, resulting in a truly authentic sound that captures his artistry.

ABOUT DAVID LEONARD: Arkansas native and Tennessee resident David Leonard has been playing, singing, writing, and recording music since college when he and friends formed the band Jackson Waters. He later performed with NEEDTOBREATHE before a season of recording as one-half of the critically-acclaimed, GRAMMY Award-nominated duo All Sons & Daughters. David is a Dove Award-winning producer and creative partner in The Creak Music (Brandon Lake, Cody Carnes, NEEDTOBREATHE, Ben & Noelle Kilgore, and more), and he’s also racked up stellar songwriting credits such as “Great Are You Lord,” “Christ Be All Around,” "Good Lord," "Hold On" and “All The Poor and Powerless.”

It was in 2019 when he released his first solo project, The Wait, a special collection of personal and reflective songs. David followed up the critically acclaimed album with The Wait: Silence The Noise, encompassing recreated and intimate versions of each of the original tracks.

Leonard is co-owner of Tabernacle Studios, a new state-of-the-art recording studio in a restored historic church in the Natchez Street community of Franklin, TN. Along with being a husband and father, David Leonard can easily say his other love and passion is his work.
