Nashville, Tenn. (March 21, 2025) — Curb Records band We Are Messengers adds chart-topping Gotee Records collective Cochren & Co. to their current radio single, “A Thousand Times.” The collaboration is available today — listen HERE.
Already the top streaming song from We Are Messengers’ fourth studio album, Where The Joy Is, “A Thousand Times” recounts all the personal ways God has come through. On this fresh version, both frontmen deliver faith-elevating lyrics against a wall of crunchy guitars and propulsive drums. Cochren & Co. lead singer Michael Cochren, who also co-penned Crowder’s recent multi-week No. 1, “Somebody Prayed,” helms the fist-pumping anthem’s second verse. Together, he and We Are Messengers’ Darren Mulligan declare that God’s been good a thousand times, and He’ll be good a thousand times more. Mulligan wrote “A Thousand Times” with Jonathan Smith and Ethan Hulse, while Jeff Pardo and Kyle Williams produced the track.
“A Thousand Times (feat. Cochren & Co.)” follows last month’s release of We Are Messengers’ “Somewhere In Her Dreams,” a poetic love song dedicated to Mulligan’s wife, Heidi. The Ireland native premiered a live version of the introspective ballad on an episode of “Brandon’s Backyard” exclusively on K-LOVE On Demand.
As “A Thousand Times” continues its climb at radio, We Are Messengers recently celebrated the Gold certification of their multi-week chart-topper “Come What May,” the band’s second RIAA Gold certification in 12 months, following the certification of their hit single, “Maybe It’s OK.”
The award-winning outfit will showcase selections from every facet of their career when they embark on the spring leg of their highly lauded “Where The Joy Is Tour” in support of their latest LP of the same name. The 27-date outing kicks off next week with Christian pop artist Austin French and singer-songwriter Leanna Crawford providing support. Nominated for a GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and a K-LOVE Breakout Single, their debut full-length album, Don’t Lose Hope, was released on Gotee Records in 2021. The debut included Billboard Top 10 Radio Hits “Church (Take Me Back),” which has become RIAA Gold Certified, “One Day”, and “Who Can." The title track, “Don’t Lose Hop,e” was featured in an episode of CBS’s MacGyver.
Cochren & Co.’s sophomore project, Running Home (2023), features the group's first No. 1 Billboard radio single with the title track which was also a Top 10 Airplay song of 2023 while the track “Thank God For Sunday Morning” was listed as one of K-LOVE’s 22 Songs that Defined 2022. In June of 2023, the group made their historic debut on the Grand Ole Opry, followed by a second performance that year, and have been featured in various performances, including GRAMMY.com's Positive Vibes Only and K-LOVE On Demand's "The Barn Series." The group performed at the Opry again in 2024 before joining MercyMe and Crowder on tour.
In 2025, Michael became a No. 1 songwriter for the second time when the song “Somebody Prayed,” which he co-wrote with Crowder, hit No. 1 on Billboard for consecutive weeks.
