Huntington Beach, CA (Velvet Blue Music) – Synth-pop innovator Ronnie Martin returns with his eagerly awaited new album, Consume Like a Moth What Is Dear, out April 18, 2025. Known for his influential legacy with cult electronic pop band Joy Electric, who released 14 albums and cultivated a worldwide fanbase, music scene, and the annual Autobahn Electronic Music Festival before disbanding in 2012, Martin once again showcases his unparalleled mastery of Moog synthesizers and instantly timeless pop songwriting.

Building upon the enthusiastic reception of the album’s lead single, "Ever Sing for Joy," Consume Like a Moth What Is Dear features Martin’s distinctive ability to write instantly familiar pop songs wrapped in lush, intricate clockwork layers of analog synthesizer beats and soaring melodies. Each track bursts with emotional resonance, drawing listeners into a richly textured world that recalls the adventurous spirit of Joy Electric's most beloved albums – most notably, returning for the first time to the complexity of 2001’s prog-pop masterpiece The White Songbook.

Velvet Blue Music invites fans and new listeners alike to immerse themselves in Ronnie Martin’s latest opus—a synth-driven journey that is as deeply personal as it is expansively imaginative.

Consume Like a Moth What Is Dear will be available on vinyl, cd, cassette and digitally via Bandcamp and all major streaming platforms.
