Although he is most often associated with the Philly Soul genre, Clef also has a deep passion for gospel music. With a long-held reverence for the time-honored standards of gospel music and his heartfelt interpretations of them, Charles also writes modern gospel music as a balm against the injustices of the contemporary world.

The inspirational ballad "Be Still," written, produced, and arranged by Lundy, is a prime example of his unique take on the genre. Here, Charles acts as a one-man orchestra, playing all the instruments except drums, and provides all the lead and background vocals to the track, exposing great depths of emotion and inspiration as the song builds.
