May 16, 2025 // Tasha Cobbs Leonard wants you to praise—and slide—at the same time. Today, the 3x GRAMMY-winning gospel powerhouse releases “Already Good (Tasha Slide)”, a joy-filled, dance-forward anthem that blends her signature vocal power with an irresistible groove and a custom line dance designed to bring people together in motion and celebration.
With lyrics that call out each step—“Take it to the left, move to the right... hands up high, then slide to the right…”—the track offers a worship-meets-wobble experience that’s as fun as it is uplifting. Whether at a church service, cookout, or celebration, “Already Good” is a reminder that even in uncertain times, joy is available—and goodness is already in motion.
The music video, also out today, was filmed during The Purpose Place Church’s anniversary weekend—the South Carolina church Tasha co-pastors with her husband Kenneth Leonard, Jr.—and captures a full room of joyful celebration as the congregation joins in for the Tasha Slide. WATCH HERE
“This song is a whole vibe,” says Cobbs Leonard. “I wanted to create something that felt like joy—something that brings people together and reminds us that goodness doesn’t have to wait. It’s already good.”
“Already Good (Tasha Slide)” offers the first glimpse into a bold new chapter for Tasha, one that blends gospel and worship with fresh influences like pop, hip-hop, and ’80s R&B. While details of her next project remain under wraps, this release sets the tone for a creatively expansive new era.
Tasha Cobbs Leonard is one of the most celebrated voices in modern gospel music. With over 5 billion career streams, multiple #1 albums, and a growing global audience, she continues to build bridges between faith, culture, and sound. In the past year alone, she performed “Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the NFL’s 2024 season opener, earned another GRAMMY for her collaborative track “One Hallelujah,” and released her debut book Do It Anyway(WaterBrook/Penguin Random House), chronicling her journey through infertility, grief, and personal transformation.
