Nashville, Tenn. (May 30, 2025) — Curb Records artist Stars Go Dim searches for divine fingerprints in the space between surrender and eternal life on “G.I.R.L. (God In Real Life),” out today (5/30) — listen HERE. An accompanying music video for the song also drops today — watch HERE. “G.I.R.L. (God In Real Life)” is the fifth and final selection to bow ahead of the act’s fourth studio set, Roses, blooming July 11, 2025. Fans can pre-add, pre-save and pre-order the record HERE.

Written by Stars Go Dim frontman Chris Cleveland, Colby Wedgeworth and Michael Farren, the latest advance offering poses the pivotal question: Where is God in real life? While he doesn’t pretend to always know the answer, Cleveland concedes evidence of God can always be uncovered. The standout track resolves in a fit of frenzied sonic elements, mirroring the madness of real life, as his unparalleled falsetto takes center stage in an ambitious vocal take that’s other-worldly.

“‘G.I.R.L. (God In Real Life)’ is a really special song on this album because it’s what this whole album is about. It’s about finding how God works in our real lives — when life is beautiful and joyful and amazing, and when life is hard and dark and hurtful. How does God show up? Does this faith even work? ‘God In Real Life’ is the song, I think, that speaks straight to that,” Cleveland shares. “One of the things I love about this song is that we take it from this really poppy, happy place to the edge of chaos at the back end of it — because that’s what life is. Sometimes it’s beautiful and peaceful, and sometimes, it feels like it’s about to fall apart. That’s what ‘God In Real Life’ sounds like.”

Co-producing for the first time, Cleveland embraces the genuine joy that comes from a slower pace and a different point of view on Roses. Exploring his dynamic range across the project’s 11 original tracks, the top-shelf singer chases a retro sound marinated in the groove-heavy beats of the ’70s. From the jangly piano intro of infectious opener “Mama Don’t Lie (Alright)” to the nostalgic emotional pull of closer “Good Days,” the fresh LPblossoms with the hope that God is always waiting to be found.

Just a few days after its release, Cleveland will celebrate his forthcoming collection by stepping into the coveted circle for his Grand Ole Opry debut on July 13, 2025.

About Stars Go Dim:

Originally formed as a mainstream pop band, today Stars Go Dim is the moniker for Christian Pop artist and songwriter Chris Cleveland. After years at the helm of an acclaimed independent secular band and more than a decade leading worship at Tulsa’s Asbury United Methodist Church — one of America’s largest congregations — Cleveland found success in the Christian format with his self-titled debut album. The singer has garnered number ones and Top 5 hits at Pop and Christian radio, including the massive No. 1 radio smash in the U.S. with “You Are Loved.” The Dove Award and K-LOVE Fan Award-nominated act has over 240 million streams and its songs have been placed in commercials and ads, including “You Are Loved” being used in an ADT Home Security national commercial. In addition, Chris has toured the world, written, and played with many of the biggest artists in Pop and Christian music in the last 15 years, including: Justin Bieber, John Mayer, The Goo Goo Dolls, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jason DeRulo, The Fray, Natasha Bedingfield, The Roots, Lauren Daigle, for KING & COUNTRY, Bethel Music, Mav City, among others. Chris continues to write songs recorded by many of today’s biggest artists and worship groups. In advance of the July 11, 2025 release of new Stars Go Dim album, Roses, “Mama Don’t Lie (Alright),” the title-track, “Roses,” “Discover God,” “A Little Light,” and “G.I.R.L. (God In Real Life)” are available now.
