Nashville, Tenn. (June 13, 2025) – Curb Records recording artist Steven Malcolm declares the only source of truth and hope on “One You,” out today (6/13). Featuring hip hop artist Parris Chariz, the smooth track spreads a message that resonates worldwide – real peace and identity can only be found in the One that never changes. Listen HERE.

Born out of a moment of deep reflection on the chaos of today’s world, where truth feels blurred by fake news, misleading social media, and the constant pressure to chase clout, “One You” stands as a bold declaration that there’s only one true God. Both personal testimony and cultural wake-up call, listeners are reminded that while society may glorify the temporary and artificial, only God can provide a real unchanging source of truth and hope.

“An essential theme of the song is proclaiming that there is only one God, only one source of Truth,” shares Malcolm. “We live in a day and age where we are fed fake news through social media and even on tv, and this song is proclaiming the real Truth, and that’s Jesus Christ.”

Fans can expect more music from Malcolm throughout the year, leading to an album in 2026, with his next release featuring for KING + COUNTRY and KB.

About Steven Malcolm:

Steven Malcolm makes faith-driven hip-hop that's as unique as his multi-cultural background. It's a sound rooted in rap's rhythmic delivery, pop's modern melodies, and God's word, glued together by an artist whose music has earned six Dove Award nominations and more than 126 million streams. His new album, BOATS, drops anchor February 23, 2024. An acronym for “Based On A Truth Story,” BOATS transports listeners to a utopia of Malcolm’s own creation. On an introspective island where the truth of God’s Word meets our humanity, the concept record explores tales of brokenness and subsequent redemption that have shaped the hip-hop leader’s own story. The imaginative 16-track collection washes ashore with spiritual workout Top 10-and-climbing single “Cardio,” pulsating, wilderness playbook “40” and autobiographical selection “Nothing Into Something.” Malcolm's messages of hope and redemption come from his own experience. Raised in western Michigan and coastal Florida, he grew up in search of stability. His father, a native Jamaican who had emigrated from Montego Bay, was deported back to the Caribbean when Steven was just 9 years old, and later passed away before the two could reunite. Steven's mother struggled as a single parent and eventually left town, leaving her son to fend for himself as a young college student. His life lacked a clear direction until he accepted a friend's invitation to attend a local church service that incorporated hip-hop, dance, and worship.

About Parris Chariz:

A Detroit native, on the rise with a mission to bridge the gap between faith-based platforms and mainstream music. Parris Chariz, short for charismatic, is an edgy, yet vibrant artist with a trap sound. Parris experienced numerous downfalls throughout his life but those valleys lead him to music. His debut album “Appreciation” gained the attention of tastemakers within the CHH and mainstream Hip-Hop community. From being listed on Rapzilla’s Freshman 2015 List to headlining a nationwide tour along with Ty Brasel, Parris has made his mark within the Hip-Hop community that is unique and far from the rest. His music has encouraged his listeners to know what’s real and to be true to yourself. His recently released album “2045” has set a standard of authentic creativity provided a voice to the unheard. Parris has made his mark as a creative and will continue to make music that speaks to the soul.
