Nashville, Tenn. (June 20, 2025) — Curb Records singer-songwriter Dan Bremnes releases The Hero, the first installment of a musical trilogy, today (6/20) — listen HERE.
Bremnes explores what it means to be human on The Hero. Vulnerable and self-aware, the award winner searches for the champion within, bravely probing the things that often hold us back from courageous action as he wrestles with his past and celebrates his growth on the abbreviated, yet powerful, set. From the rock bottom honesty of “Started With You” and the autobiographical nature of “Call Your Name” to the adventurous spirit of “Cortado” and the gentle ease of “Sweet Spot,” The Hero finds Bremnes taking stock of all the moments that led him to a place of peace, joy and gratitude.
The whimsical “Sweet Spot” is the only track out of the four-song batch that wasn’t released in advance of the full EP. Bremnes recognizes a divine touch throughout ordinary days on the breezy, carefree confection, as he explores a playful falsetto across a celebration of life’s simplest moments.
Following outings with Katy Nichole and Jordan St. Cyr earlier this year, the Canadian-born artist headlined a handful of intimate acoustic shows in the weeks leading up to The Hero’s release. Today’s initial collection serves as the first of three volumes of music Bremnes is slated to release in succession and lays a solid foundation for the songs to come. He details more of his journey toward new music HERE.
