June 24, 2025 (Atlanta, GA) — Christian rap artist Anike, formerly known as Wande, is back with an empowering new anthem, “Watch Her Glow,” out now via Reach Records – Listen HERE. The fiery single follows on from last month’s intimate and vulnerable release entitled “Ultrasound,” which coincided with the announcement of Anike’s pregnancy.

Speaking on the new single, Anike shares: “With this record I wanted to celebrate the amazing beauty that comes with womanhood. This record can be a perfect get ready song to hype you up as you step into boss mode. Currently in my pregnancy season, I wanted to remind all children of God but most specifically women that they’re a light in the world & lit no matter what season they’re in: single, dating, married, pregnant, or mama mode. Through all the seasons, you’re still THAT GIRL.”

Watch Her Glow” is a fun uptempo song about embracing femininity. Unwavering in her strength and empowerment from Christ, Anike’s breakneck flow is front and center as she rattles off effortlessly about the benefits of living for God. Blending themes of faith, reflection, and positivity, she continues to redefine the boundaries of holy hip-hop. And although she’s no stranger to pulling listeners into her God-fearing orbit, Anike’s latest single consummates a level up that’s palpable, informed by changes in her everyday life.

Back in May, the mother-to-be uploaded a breathtaking visualizer to Instagram to announce her pregnancy. In the video, the camera slowly zooms out as Anike embraces the love and light that parenting brings. “Ultrasound,” which garnered from publications such as The HYPE Magazine, The Christian Beat, JubileeCast, and more, crystalized her tangible excitement for motherhood, bound together by a hard-won sense of profound fulfillment.

Extending Anike’s winning streak, last month, her song “WAKANDE” was included in the “Sleeper Picks” segment of the Joe Budden Podcast. Further solidifying her status as a rising star, the single is a fan favorite from her debut album, EXIT. The unexpected co-sign further underscores Anike’s growing influence across Christian music and cements her position as a force to be reckoned with.

Stream “Watch Her Glow” and stay tuned for more.

ABOUT ANIKE

Discover the groundbreaking influence of Anike, formerly known as Wande, a pioneer in Christian music and the first Christian female rapper with major commercial success. Formerly known as Wande, she has embraced a new chapter, dedicating her life to glorifying Yahweh and letting go of her birth names "Mutiat" and "Yewande" that reflected Muslim practices & African spirituality roots. Anike, the first female Christian rapper to tour with icons like Lecrae and collaborate with artists like TobyMac, has a unique blend of hip-hop, R&B, and pop. She was the first female artist signed to Reach Records and has been featured on GRAMMY-nominated projects and Billboard's #1 album "The Mav Way." Influential figures like Michelle Obama and Kirk Franklin have recognized her contributions on their playlists as well. Anike's versatility extends to appearances in ESPN and Apple commercials, performances at the Essence Festival, and hosting "Girl Talk" on TBNx, focusing on women's spiritual empowerment. Her engaging comedic content and life talks, like "Hallelujah Roll Call," have amassed millions of views. Anike—a visionary with millions of streams on Spotify alone-continuing to shape how Christians engage with culture. In summer 2024, Anike changed her legal and artist name from Wande, noting "This change is deeply meaningful to me, reflecting a departure from my old legal names, Mutiat and Yewande, which carried meaning not aligned with my faith such as reincarnation, and devotion to other gods. The name Anike means "someone you cherish, care for, love, and don't take for granted." It serves as a reminder of my inherent worth, cherished by my Creator, and this affirmation is something I wish to echo through my music.

ABOUT REACH RECORDS

Reach Records is an Atlanta based independent hip-hop label founded in 2004 by Lecrae and Ben Washer. Long before acclaim, awards, plaques, chart positioning, and radio play, the two started the label because they both love hip-hop and Jesus. Reach Records was launched with no strategy, no funds, no big players, but they made big moves! Today Reach Records is a trailblazing label with a roster of nearly 10 artists and a staff of 20 who are unashamed about sharing their faith and passionate about hip-hop. Reach Records is committed to building a movement that combines faith with music and popular culture.
