'Swing Wide' is the first single from Vineyard Worship's upcoming EP, House Of The Lord.
This song was written by Jon Solway, Langa Mbonambi & Inez Tjokro, at a global songwriters gathering. Their desire was to write a joyful, welcoming song that would work in a local church.
They focussed on the theme of welcoming Jesus into our gatherings and our lives, inspired both by Psalm 24 and the triumphal entry that we celebrate at Palm Sunday (Matthew 21) - the joy and expectation that they must have felt as Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the joy we can experience as Jesus continues to ‘enter in’ to our world, and the expectation we have when Jesus will come again.
Recorded with a live audience in St. Albans, this song is jam packed with energy, joy, exuberance and hope.
‘Swing Wide' releases everywhere on 1st August.
