Kalamazoo, MI – September 19, 2025 – Emerging Christian artist Josh Grove has released his latest single, “God Uses Scars”, available everywhere on September 19. Written by Grove and produced by Eric Haley, the heartfelt song offers a timely message for anyone carrying emotional, mental, or physical scars. The track serves as a reminder that what was meant for harm can be transformed by God into beauty and purpose.

At just 15 years old, the Michigan-based singer/songwriter already displays a spiritual depth beyond his years. Grove leads worship on his church’s youth team, plays guitar, and volunteers in kids ministry, all while pursuing his passion for pointing others to Jesus through music. His previous single, “Holy Flame,” earned him finalist recognition in the Unsigned Only Music Awards and introduced him as a bold new voice in worship.

Throughout “God Uses Scars”, Grove sings directly to the hurting: “For those of you who have been hurt before, come and know the Lord, He loves you and wants you, He uses your scars for…” With words of healing and invitation, the song also reaches those searching for faith: “For those of you who have never known the Lord, to let you know there’s more, He loves you and wants you, that’s what God uses scars for.”

The message culminates in a powerful bridge that points to the cross: “But Jesus left with scars, a symbol of His love, He died for all of us, He still uses scars.” Grove reminds listeners that just as Christ’s scars brought redemption and salvation, their own can testify to God’s unending love and purpose.

“This song came from a place of wanting people to know that God never wastes our pain,” Grove shares. “The scars we carry—just like the scars of Jesus—can tell a story of His love and how He brings healing and purpose out of brokenness.”

With relatable lyrics and a worshipful spirit, “God Uses Scars” calls believers to trust God’s plan and invites all listeners to find hope in the One who redeems every trial and uses every scar for His glory.

“God Uses Scars” is available now on all streaming platforms.
