NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “One of Christian music's most prolific singer-songwriters” (Billboard), 5x GRAMMY-nominated and award-winning artist Matthew West rings in the holiday season with the release of his new album, Come Home For Christmas, available everywhere now.
“My family and I love the Christmas season and listen to Christmas music around the clock all through the holidays,” shares West. “Come Home For Christmas is a special record to me. I got to record my versions of some of the classics and also write a few new ones. I hope this collection of songs can be a soundtrack for the Christmas season and a reminder that the invitation is extended to all of us to come home to the true meaning of Christmas.”
Featuring a heartfelt blend of original songs and timeless holiday favorites, Come Home For Christmas brings West's signature storytelling to the magic of the season. The eight-track collection includes four Christmas classics reimagined through West's lens, alongside originals like the relatable and humorous “Dysfunctional Family Christmas” and his 2020 fan-favorite “Gobble Gobble,” now revived in a new kids version. Centered on themes of faith, family and togetherness, the record reminds listeners of what truly matters during the holidays.
West will bring the spirit of the season to life on his Come Home For Christmas Tour, kicking off Dec. 11 in Philadelphia. The seven-date run follows West's beloved “Come Home For Christmas” weekend in Nashville, taking place Dec. 4–6. Now in its fourth year, the event continues to draw fans from across the country for a special time of music, worship and community. West's companion book Come Home For Christmas is also available now at matthewwest.com.
With new content spanning across all forms of media, West will also produce two brand-new Christmas shows, including a concert event featuring Come Home For Christmas in partnership with TBN — America's largest faith and family channel and the world's largest Christian television network. Both shows will air throughout December.
The release follows a banner year for West. Last month, he was honored as NSAI's 2025 Songwriter-Artist of the Year, marking the second time he's received the title and making him the first Christian artist to be awarded twice. In September, he surprised fans with Don't Stop Praying (Deluxe Edition), adding five new tracks to his Billboard chart-topping album. Earlier this year, West celebrated his co-write on Jon Reddick's “No Fear” holding the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart for 10 consecutive weeks – his 38th No. 1 as a songwriter and artist combined.
Next month, West will embark on his Don't Stop Praying For America Tour, visiting 13 cities nationwide with special guest Peter Burton. After consistently selling out show after show during the tour's initial 34-city run last year, West continues to meet fans where they are with nights of prayer, worship and storytelling.
