Provo, UT — [October 17, 2025] — Angel (NYSE: ANGX), an unprecedented media and technology company driven by 1.6 million grassroots Angel Guild members championing values-based stories, announced today that GRAMMY Nominated artist Phil Wickham will perform the lead role in the highly anticipated animated musical DAVID. Created by Phil Cunningham of Sunrise Animation Studios, the film will be released exclusively in theaters on December 19, 2025, distributed by Angel.

DAVID is a larger-than-life animated feature film about one of the most fascinating figures in history. The movie tells the biblical story of David — warrior, poet, shepherd, and eventual king — whose faith and courage changed the course of nations. Through breathtaking animation and powerful music, DAVID brings to life the timeless story of a young man who trusted God against all odds.

Phil Wickham, one of the most beloved voices in Christian music, brings both his musical artistry and heartfelt spirit to the role. Wickham joins Brandon Engman, who voices David as a youth, in the cast. Engman is an actor, dancer, and singer who already has an impressive and growing resume of film, TV, theater, and voice-over credits. DAVID represents years of creative development and artistic vision, blending original music, epic storytelling, and stunning visuals to tell one of history’s most enduring tales in a fresh, inspiring way.
