Nashville, Tenn. (October 31, 2025) – Curb Records recording artist Steven Malcolm prays for divine guidance on “Lean On You,” out today (10/31) — listen HERE. Featuring rising Christian R&B and Gospel artist, Adia, the track’s music video also drops today — watch HERE.

A soul-stirring, Afrobeat-infused prayer that draws from Malcolm’s Jamaican roots, “Lean On You” blends vibrant rhythms with deep spiritual resonance. Alongside Stellar Gospel Awards Best New Artist Winner, Adia, Malcolm presents a raw, honest plea for divine guidance, protection, and reassurance in the face of life’s challenges, capturing the universal need for something greater to rely on. With its infectious beat and uplifting message, “Lean On You” offers both vulnerability and strength through faith — a soundtrack for anyone navigating struggle while holding on to hope.

“‘Lean On You’ is a heartfelt reminder that true strength comes from surrender—when we let faith carry the weight we can’t,” shares Malcolm. “It’s a soul-deep prayer for guidance, love, and divine connection.”

In August, Malcolm performed at the UK’s Big Church Festival. Fans can also hear his current single, “Yes,” featuring Curb Records band for KING + COUNTRY and KB across the airwaves as it continues to climb the Christian Airplay charts. Listen to the spirited track HERE.

About Steven Malcolm:

Steven Malcolm makes faith-driven hip-hop that's as unique as his multi-cultural background. It's a sound rooted in rap's rhythmic delivery, pop's modern melodies, and God's word, glued together by an artist whose music has earned seven Dove Award nominations and more than

130 million streams. With his new single, YES, Malcolm teams up with Grammy Award Winning artist for KING & COUNTRY. Malcolm says of the song: YES is a powerful anthem born out of the deep places of pain, shame, and guilt—the moments when we feel most unworthy and distant from God. YES tells the story of divine grace that never waivers, even when we do. It speaks to the heart of every believer who has questioned their value, reminding them that God’s response is always love, always mercy, always YES. His last album, BOATS, dropped anchor February 23, 2024. An acronym for “Based On A Truth Story,” BOATS transports listeners to a utopia of Malcolm’s own creation. On an introspective island where the truth of God’s Word meets our humanity, the concept record explores tales of brokenness and subsequent redemption that have shaped the hip-hop leader’s own story. The imaginative 16-track collection washes ashore with spiritual workout Top 10-and-climbing single “Cardio,” pulsating, wilderness playbook “40” and autobiographical selection “Nothing Into Something.” Malcolm's messages of hope and redemption come from his own experience. Raised in western Michigan and coastal Florida, he grew up in search of stability. His father, a native Jamaican who had emigrated from Montego Bay, was deported back to the Caribbean when Steven was just 9 years old and later passed away before the two could reunite. Steven's mother struggled as a single parent and eventually left town, leaving her son to fend for himself as a young college student. His life lacked a clear direction until he accepted a friend's invitation to attend a local church service that incorporated hip-hop, dance, and worship.

About Adia:

Adia, born Destiny Adia Andrews on May 15, 1991, in St. Louis, Missouri, is a rising voice in Christian R&B 3 and gospel music. Raised between Chicago and Huntsville, Alabama, she grew up in a musical family—her parents were traveling musicians—which gave her early exposure to performing and songwriting. She officially launched her career in 2012 with the single “One Day at a Time” on Emerge Records, and soon after gained recognition when her song “Incomplete” was featured in the soundtrack of Deitrick Haddon’s film A Beautiful Soul. In 2014, after signing with Xist Music, she released the single “Rags to Riches” followed by her debut studio album Behind Enemy Lines. The album was well received and reached Number 38 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart, solidifying her place as an emerging talent in the gospel music scene. Her sound blends Christian R&B, urban contemporary gospel, and soulful R&B elements, creating a style that feels both modern and rooted in faith. Lyrically, Adia focuses on perseverance, identity, and spiritual encouragement, often writing songs that uplift and inspire listeners to lean into their faith during difficult times. In addition to her solo work, she has contributed as a background vocalist and vocal arranger, showing her versatility within the industry. In 2025, her hard work was recognized at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Nashville, where she won New Artist of the Year, with her song “On the Way” serving as a standout performance that highlighted her artistry and message. Today, Adia is seen as part of a new generation of gospel artists who merge faith-centered lyrics with contemporary sounds, positioning her as a fresh and influential voice in Christian music.
