Charlotte, NC - “I know, Lord, that a person’s way of life is not his own; no one who walks determines his own steps.” [Jeremiah 10:23]
When we humanize biblical moments, we realize how much we have in common with those from the past.
Congolese artist FrenchyRiff takes inspiration from bible study and YouTube to compose his captivating new single, Steps.
“My wife and I’s family bible study is just getting into the book of Judges, and I just finished watching ‘The Promise Land’ show on YouTube, so the exodus journey was living rent-free in my head when I finished making this instrumental. It was insane for almost two million people to travel around in the desert, yet God was as patient with the people of Israel as He was just. This song was birthed from all of that.” - FrenchyRiff
Combining elements of hip hop, soul, jazz, and house rhythms, North Carolina’s FrenchyRiff puts his God-given artistry on display with his newest single. Steps hits digital streaming platforms on November 7, 2025.
Following the release of his 2025 album ‘Matadi,’ FrenchyRiff embraces a lighthearted and intoxicating vibe with Steps.
Frenchy expertly weaves his journey of faith with the narrative of the children of Israel as they set out from the land of Egypt to discover the promise that God had made to them generations before. It is a reminder that God has an end goal intended for all of us. Even when we appear lost, He is still orchestrating our steps.
As we enter the heart of the holiday season, Steps is the perfect addition to any playlist looking to create a joyful atmosphere as we celebrate with family and friends alike. Be sure to add it to your list on your favorite music streaming service!
