PITTSBURGH, PA — November 24, 2025 — Christian metal band Ashes Awaken continues their faith-fueled ascent with the release of their newest single, “For You,” arriving November 28, 2025. Following the breakout success of their debut track “A Better Way,” the band once again blends unflinching honesty, massive sound, and spiritual intensity—this time with a deeply personal cry for forgiveness and renewal.
Written by Michael Stover, “For You” is both a confession and a declaration of faith. Anchored by the stirring lyric “Oh Father, dear Father, forgive me for what I’ve done,” the song explores the tension between human frailty and divine mercy. Over a thunderous wall of guitars and dynamic drumming, Ashes Awaken deliver a message that is as raw as it is redemptive: God’s grace is stronger than guilt, and surrender is the pathway to strength.
“This song came from a place of brokenness,” says Stover. “It’s about owning your mistakes, calling out to God, and finding that He’s been faithful through it all. ‘For You’ is our prayer in the form of a metal anthem.”
Musically, “For You” showcases the band’s signature blend of melody and muscle—pairing emotionally charged vocals with anthemic choruses and intricate guitar work. The song’s progression mirrors its spiritual journey: starting in lament, rising through confession, and erupting into victorious worship. The refrain—“God of mercy, God of glory, faithful through and through”—serves as both worship and warfare, an offering of praise in the midst of struggle.
“For You” is the second single from Ashes Awaken’s forthcoming debut album, Rise, due February 6, 2026. The album charts a redemptive path through darkness, faith, and spiritual rebirth, cementing the band’s place as one of Christian metal’s most authentic new voices.
