The Classic Crime frontman Matt MacDonald has announced that the popular rock band is making a comeback with new music planned. Check out Matt's message below, and catch them live in the coming months as they hit the road with none other than Emery!
Coming out of retirement…
Hey friends,
It’s been 3 years since I released music. The longest hiatus I’ve taken in 23 years has flown by, and that’s messed up.
For reasons on that, here’s a post I made on our brand new (resurrected) Patreon page.
As you can see from the lines in my face and the grey in my beard, I am getting older. My deepest apologies. I never intended to. I have decided to throw myself into making stuff again, but Resistance is so strong that I need accountability in the form of your support.
Please consider becoming a Patron as I dedicate myself daily (M-F 10a-2p) to the task of writing another album (starting in March when I return from tour). For your support I will deliver content in the form of ~2 demos and one exclusive AMA conversation each month, plus another finished album which would not otherwise exist.Thank you for keeping the dream alive,
Matt
P.S. - The new Patreon Page was repurposed from mine and Nate Henry’s Don’t Feed the Trolls podcast which ran from 2016-2019, and includes all the exclusive bonus content, including a songwriting workshop I recorded in 2019. I couldn’t bring myself to delete any of it, so it will stay as extra content for members.
P.P.S. - I am playing Albatross songs with Emery ON TOUR the end of this month. My backing band will be Emery musicians up until the Portland and Seattle shows where Robbie, Skip and Alan will join me.
