NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MARCH 06, 2026) Award-winning composer for TV & film, producer, and songwriter Tommee Profitt releases another song from his highly anticipated Easter project, THE RESURRECTION OF A KING, arriving March 27. Today, Profitt unveils a cinematic reimagining of the beloved hymn “Nothing But the Blood,” featuring Jeremy Rosado. Listen to this powerful song and watch the video below.
Layered with sweeping orchestration, choir, and Rosado’s commanding vocal performance, the track transforms the timeless hymn into a dramatic, emotional centerpiece for the album. What began as a last-minute addition quickly became one of the project’s defining moments.
“This song almost didn’t make the album, which is crazy to say now,” shares Tommee Profitt. “It was the week before the album was due, and I woke up at 2:00 a.m. thinking through everything I still had to finish when it suddenly hit me that I hadn’t done ‘Nothing But the Blood,’ one of the most well-known Easter hymns of all time. If I were making an Easter record, how could that song not be on it?”
After pulling up the lyrics that night, the musical vision came together almost immediately. Profitt shares that he could hear the whole thing in his head, the melody, the choir, the big epic moment the song needed to be. Finding the right voice proved just as clear as Jeremy Rosado (American Idol/The Voice) quickly stood out. With the album deadline approaching, the team moved quickly. Profitt assembled an emergency choir session, and the entire track — vocals, choir, and production — was completed in just three days.
“Now I truly can’t imagine the album without it,” Profitt adds. “Jeremy gave such an incredible, timeless vocal performance. It’s powerful, emotional, and exactly as epic as the song and the message demand.”
THE RESURRECTION OF A KING is a cinematic Easter soundtrack featuring reimagined hymns such as “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Jesus Paid It All,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Just As I Am,” with performances by Phil Wickham, CeCe Winans, Crowder, Jenn Johnson, Jamie MacDonald, Ben Fuller, Jon Reddick, and more.
The project follows Profitt’s acclaimed THE BIRTH OF A KING, which has generated more than 200 million global streams and grown into an annual live holiday concert event. Across his career, Profitt has amassed over 100 billion global streams, 300+ major sync placements, and 49 RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications, cementing his status as one of the most impactful creative forces in music today.
