North Chicago, IL - “Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.” [Psalms 116:7]
Enjoy the Ride“The name, For Your Commute, is basically that it’s some sounds you can put on as you are driving from point A to point B.” - Tae Lamar
Fans of Polished Arrow Music know the distinct, gritty, boom-bap sound the collective is identified with. One of the individuals who has shaped this sonic narrative is Chicago beat-maker, Tae Lamar.
As one-half of the group Above the Clouds, alongside emcee and P.A. co-founder iNTELLECT (OH), Lamar has long-established himself as a premier producer of classic, golden-era hip-hop soundscapes within the CHH genre, having worked with critically acclaimed artists such as YP aka Young Paul, Griffin, Procyse, MotionPlus, and more. His newest drop is the follow-up to the 2018 release ‘For Your Commute.’
Hitting digital streaming services on March 20, 2026, For Your Commute II is more than a soundtrack to help you survive the chaos of rush hour. It is an opportunity to share the soul of hip-hop wherever you may be.
The beat tape features production that Lamar has crafted throughout the years. Some have appeared on various projects, while some have never seen the light of day. Regardless, they all come together to form the ultimate backdrop for navigating our hectic lives.
No matter where you are, For Your Commute II is ready to set the vibe. Add it to your library on your favorite music streaming service now!
