“This song was written coming out of postpartum depression,” the artist and songwriter says. “I found myself sobbing on the bathroom floor many times, asking God to take the pain away. The pain didn’t go away, but He gave me His presence, and that alone was enough to carry me through. Everyone has a ‘bathroom floor’ story.”
Foregoing bold, dramatic flourishes, “Bathroom Floor” underpins Amber Lynn’s compelling performance with subtler contrasts and textures, reinforcing the song’s conveyance of a universal message through an unusually direct, personally informed lyric:
When it ain’t working, life ain’t winning
Prayers aren’t answered, pain’s not ending
2 am mornings, I can’t stop crying
Can’t get a breakthrough
No matter how hard I’m trying
When all the platitudes and worn cliches have done all they can do
But I’m still empty, so alone and empty
I’ve known the joy of standing on the mountain tops with Him
And I’ve felt the rush of courage walking on the waves, facing the wind
But the sweetest moments I’ve ever known have been the ones when I’ve been down so low
And the God who rules and reins over everything
Bends down low enough to sit with me
Blending a voice of unsurpassed expressive strength, an ability to transmute private experience into songs that can touch multitudes, and an unshakable Christian faith, Amber Lynn shows that she is an artist in touch with a range of listeners as wide as the spectrum of believers.

Amber Eppinette Saunders hails from Sterlington, LA. As a pastor’s kid, Amber grew up surrounded by music and the message of the Gospel from a very young age. As a teenager, she felt God’s calling into music and writing—a calling that would lead to the creation of 11th Hour. It was upon the completion of her first song, entitled Adam’s Fall, that the seventeen-year-old recognized the vast difference between knowing about God and having a personal relationship with Him. That realization led to her surrendering her life to Him and fully embracing the mission He placed before her to minister through music.
Since that time, Amber has been a part of composing over 200 songs, many of which have been cut by 11th Hour as well as artists such as The Martins, The Whisnants, The Bowling Sisters, and many more. She has also enjoyed a number of accolades as a vocalist, including several fan award nominations for Soprano of the Year and, recently, a Songwriter of the Year nomination. Amber completed a diploma in Christian counseling, which allows her to serve others in a greater capacity as she ministers at women’s conferences and concert events.
God has blessed Amber abundantly in her personal life as well. She married her husband, Garrett, in November of 2019, and the couple welcomed their son, Vinny, in 2022 and daughter, Penny, in 2025. When they’re not traveling, the family enjoys attending and serving at their home church, Trinity Baptist in Asheville, NC.
