NASHVILLE, TN — (April 1, 2026) — As hip hop witnesses a powerful resurgence of its architects returning with some of their most refined and intentional work, Village KNG—the collaborative duo of Knowdaverbs and Pettidee—announce the release of their upcoming full-length album, Village KNG: Side A+ B, released March 31st, 2026.
Village KNG represents Modern Legacy: music shaped by experience, sharpened by time, and made for right now. Long respected as innovators and pioneers within Christian Hip Hop and the broader culture, Knowdaverbs and Pettidee reunite with renewed focus—creating music grounded in Classic DNA, New Energy.
Side A and Side B is a double-sided offering that blends golden-era boom bap, Southern grit, soulful instrumentation, and futuristic production. Lyrically, the album navigates lived faith, perseverance, storytelling, and social reflection—crafted intentionally as Music for the Whole Village, spanning generations without compromising authenticity.
The project features contributions from DJ Skillspinz, Monty G, OGtha3, and Latori Wilder, with production helmed by Tone Jonez and Pettidee and Knowdaverbs themselves. Together, the collaborators help shape a sound that feels both familiar and forward timeless without being stuck in time.
“Legacy isn’t about repeating the past,” says Pettidee. “It’s about carrying it responsibly into the future.”
Knowdaverbs adds, “We made this album for the people who grew up with us—and the people growing up now.”
