NASHVILLE, Tenn. (MAY 22, 2026) Provident Entertainment announces the signing of rising worship leader Charles Weems to its artist roster. Marking a major milestone in his growing ministry and music career, Weems releases his label debut single, I Will Follow,” available today.

Already generating strong momentum, “I Will Follow” amassed more than 5,000 pre-saves, an exceptional achievement for a developing artist in the worship genre and a testament to the growing anticipation surrounding Weems’ music and message. Co-written with Caylie Bryant and produced by Josh Holiday (ELEVATION RHYTHM), “I Will Follow” is a declaration of trust and surrender, reflecting a deeply personal season of learning to follow God faithfully and embrace His timing.

Raised in the small coastal town of Vero Beach, Florida, Weems has always been rooted in the local church. Coming from generations of ministry, his great-grandparents helped start the family church, and today his father leads the congregation. Surrounded by worship, community, and legacy from an early age, Weems says his calling has never been centered on platform or recognition, but on serving the Church and leading people into the presence of God.

“Everything starts with the local church for me,” explains Charles Weems. “I’ve always believed my first calling is simply to serve and to be available to God and obedient wherever He leads. My prayer is that these songs help people encounter Jesus in a real and personal way.”

“Charles carries a rare combination of humility, authenticity, and deep spiritual conviction,” says Holly Zabka, President of Provident Entertainment. “From the moment we connected with him, it was clear his heart is to serve the Church first. We’re honored to partner with him and excited for people to experience these songs.”

Weems first gained widespread attention with his independently released 2024 worship anthem, "Slow Me Down," which quickly went viral and has since amassed over 34 million lifetime streams. Written during a season of surrender and spiritual recalibration, the song resonated deeply with listeners navigating similar journeys of trusting God over ambition.

Describing his songwriting as “prayers in the form of melodies,” Weems continues to create music marked by humility, honesty, and Spirit-led worship. His partnership with Provident Entertainment signals a new chapter as he prepares to release more music that reflects his heart for ministry and authentic worship.
