Nashville, Tenn. (July 24, 2026) — GRAMMY® winner and new Curb Records artist Lloyd Nicks announces his debut album, Paper-Maché, slated for release Mar. 19, 2027. Beginning today, fans can pre-add, pre-save or pre-order the project HERE. Additionally, the title cut drops today, further previewing the upcoming collection — listen HERE and watch the lyric video HERE.

Nicks turns the process of becoming into a work of art on Paper-Maché."Just like paper-maché, every piece of me is being carefully molded. Each experience, each lesson, a new layer added by the Master Artist. This journey of becoming is sacred, and it's leading to something truly profound," he shares. "This isn't just an album; it's a testament to His artistry."

Paper-Maché pieces together a life that's known abuse, abandonment and grief, but also a transformed heart that's experienced the love of Jesus. Nicks' 12-track debut reveals an emotional storyteller and a devoted father who's trying to outrun generations' worth of pain for the sake of his children. His introductory set boasts a soaring vocal and an inviting array of R&B, soul, pop, Gospel and worship, as well as a personal version of his GRAMMY®-winning CeCe Winans' cut, "That's My King."

Offering his heart up as a blank canvas, the buzzworthy songwriter welcomes divine creativity on the record's namesake. He might not be able to see the full picture yet, but piece by piece, he knows his purpose is taking shape. The gifted vocalist claims our lives, while unfinished, remain a work of art as we're molded into who we're meant to be. The colorful, pulsating anthem, which he wrote with Micah Kuiper and Taylor Agan, is for those, like Nicks, in the middle of their becoming. "Paper-Maché" is the fourth song to preview his upcoming full-length effort, following open-hearted selection "We Won't," current radio single "A Little More" and his emotional ode to fatherhood, "Heal For You."

Already a GRAMMY® winner, three-time GMA Dove Award nominee and Billboard Music Award winner, Nicks signed a recording contract with Curb in 2025. His award-winning hit, Winans' "That's My King," remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart for an impressive 49 weeks.

About Lloyd Nicks:

Lloyd Nicks is experiencing what some call an overnight success...that's taken 15 years. Lloyd has been faithful to his calling of bringing people together through his music and message, showing that we have more in common than what sets us apart. With several major successes — winning a 2025 GRAMMY® Award, co-writing a 49-week #1 single on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs Chart, co-writing a 2024 Billboard Music Award-winning song — his songs resonate with audiences far and wide.Since beginning his musical journey, Lloyd has become a prolific songwriter and talented artist, crafting songs that reflect the realness of being human — the highs and lows, joys and sorrows. His personal experiences — like grieving the loss of his mother at 26, and starting a family of his own — deeply shape his music, and his diverse community is reflected in his music that sounds like a soundtrack to our lives. Born in East St. Louis and raised in Cahokia, IL, Lloyd had a difficult childhood. With his father in prison for most of his life, he often felt unseen and unheard — until he was about 14. That's when he began to find his voice, both in sound and in purpose. Inspired by gospel greats like Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, and the Winans, he set out to give a voice to the voiceless. Through his Common Ground Initiative, he is now creating opportunities for others striving to learn about the music industry and the journey he took to get where he is now. Lloyd earned his undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from Greenville University and later obtained a Master's in Management. His versatile artistry blends gospel, urban, and contemporary music, drawing listeners in with its authenticity and depth. Through his music, Lloyd leans into his perspective as a husband, father, friend, and pastor — all through the lens of someone who loves Jesus. Lloyd has been busy in the studio working on his Curb Records debut album, Paper-Maché, with songs from the album releasing across 2026. Lloyd's current catalogue of music is available wherever you listen to music. Lloyd proudly calls St. Louis his home, where he lives with his wife, Ashley, and their kids, Zoey and Dillan.
