The Wait cover
10. Distant God
Album: The Wait
Artist: David Leonard

You are not a distant God
You are not who they say You are
That has never been Your heart
You are not hiding

Like a Father to a wounded child
Present in the peace and in the wild
Not a second I would live this life
Without You beside me

'Cause even when the road is long
Even in the heat of battle
Even when the lights go out
You are there

You are not a distant God
And we are not moving miles apart
The maker of the sea and stars
Is standing beside me

'Cause even when the road is long
Even in the heat of battle
Even when the lights go out
You are there

And hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, love has found me
And hallelujah, and hallelujah
And hallelujah, love has found me

Even when the road is long
Even in the heat of battle
Even when the lights go out
You are there
