Trevor Morgan
Wonderlight

Album length: 13 tracks: 51 minutes, 16 seconds
Street Date: May 4, 2004

Trevor Morgan is no rookie to CCM. Although most might not know him by his voice, pop fans may have heard some of the songs he's written as recorded by contemporary Christian artists Ginny Owens, Geoff Moore and Phillips, Craig & Dean. Wonderlight, Morgan's debut from new label BHT Entertainment, is a pop rock journey through the heart of this talented songwriter.

Fans of vocalists like Bebo Norman, Aaron Spiro, Jeremy Camp, and Geoff Moore will find a new favorite through the mature and sensitive songwriting of Trevor Morgan. He's proved his place with his gentle ballads of God's love and grace to His creation. His catchy lyrics and simple, yet deep, messages, make the lyrics very accessible to the CCM crowd.

On the musical spectrum, Morgan does not really hit on anything that hasn't been touched before. And, though it may not be as original as one might hope, it is, indeed, fresh. Anyone who digs the latest crop of contemporary Christian artists will feel right at home.

Wonderlight is worth a listen. Some may not like it as much as others, but it is worth a listen, nonetheless. Morgan has earned the right to be heard, and it will be great to see him develop even further as a writer and an artist.
